Java has a very special place in my heart. It's where my grandparents are from, friends live, and my quick getaway when I need to escape Bali sometimes. The cafe culture there is insane, and maybe it's one of the most amazing places for cafes and coffee culture in general. This beautiful designed cafe is definitely a sight to see. The beautiful minimalistic concrete interior smoothens out into the back yard. Filled with plants and playful shaped interior.

Völks Coffee

One of my favorites in Indonesia. Located in a quiet part of Surabaya, this small and humble cafe serves some great coffee and also functions as a meeting place for analog photography enthusiasts and cycling groups on weekly rides.
